Commis Chef – The Royal Oak - Rate of pay negotiable (depending on experience)
Location: The Royal Oak
Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week (Flexible)
The Royal Oak is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Commis Chef to join our growing kitchen team.
We operate two busy kitchens:
· A restaurant kitchen serving lunches and evening meals, 7 days a week.
· Our newly reopened takeaway kitchen, preparing freshly cooked takeaway meals.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous kitchen experience who is looking to develop their skills in a busy, supportive environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
· Assisting with the preparation and cooking of high-quality dishes.
· Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.
· Working across both the restaurant and takeaway kitchens as required.
· Supporting the Head Chef and the wider kitchen team.
· Being able to work confidently both as part of a team and independently when needed.
What We’re Looking For
· Previous experience working in a professional kitchen is preferred.
· A positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
· Good organisational and time management skills.
· Ability to remain calm and efficient during busy service periods.
· Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings and weekends.
