Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to perform heavy lifting. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving and a good understanding of warehouse operations.
Duties
- Safely operate a delivery van to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety standards are met.
- Navigate efficiently using GPS systems or maps to ensure timely deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any discrepancies or damages.
- Assist in warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and organisation of stock.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record; experience driving vans or commercial vehicles is essential.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and customers.
- Experience with heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations is advantageous but not mandatory.
