Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during various dental procedures, including preparing instruments and materials.
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, offering reassurance, and ensuring patient comfort throughout treatments.
- Maintain strict infection control protocols, sterilising instruments and ensuring the clinical environment adheres to health and safety standards.
- Manage patient records accurately using IT systems, including updating treatment notes and scheduling appointments.
- Support patients with post-treatment advice and instructions as directed by the dentist.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the dental surgery, including sterilisation of equipment and preparation of treatment areas.
- Communicate effectively with patients, team members, and external providers to facilitate smooth clinic operations.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling and stock management as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in patient care or nursing is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
- Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a busy environment.
- Basic IT skills for managing electronic health records and appointment systems.
- A caring attitude with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care.
- Relevant nursing qualification or certification recognised within the UK healthcare system is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level positions. Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm

About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Dental Nurse to join our friendly team at Aura Dental.
This is an excellent opportunity to start a career in dental nursing, as you will be enrolled onto the Tempdent Dental Nurse Apprenticeship Course, gaining both hands-on clinical experience and a recognised qualification.
Full training and support will be provided throughout your journey.
