Duties
- Prepare and cook traditional Italian dishes with attention to authenticity and quality.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
- Manage food production processes, ensuring consistency and presentation standards are met.
- Oversee food safety procedures, maintaining cleanliness and compliance with health regulations.
- Lead team management activities, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Maintain a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and professional development.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in culinary roles specialising in Italian cuisine, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Supervising experience with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety standards.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage a busy kitchen efficiently.
- Experience in food production, team management, and restaurant operations.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to motivate a diverse team.
- A recognised culinary qualification is preferred but not essential if complemented by substantial practical experience.
- Previous experience in hospitality or serving roles is advantageous but not mandatory.
