Experienced Vehicle Mechanic/Technician (Full Time)
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience working as a mechanic with a relevant mechanical qualification or time served is essential.
- Sound and current knowledge of various types of vehicle engines
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- A customer-focused approach workload and committed team player
- A valid driving license is essential for Manual transmissions
- Able to fit into a team quickly and adjust to different environments
- A relevant formal qualification in Automotive City & Guilds/ NVQ Level 2 or 3
- Your own set of tools
- Ability to prioritize own workload
- To report current and possible future vehicle faults
- Ordering parts from suppliers as required
- To maximize use of technical knowledge and skills to achieve effective, economic and safe service / repair of customers vehicles
- Excellent understanding of equipment, tools, systems and processes within a service department
- Proven Experience in vehicle maintenance and repair
- To report current and possible future vehicle faults
- Responsibilities and Duties:
- Use computer diagnostic equipment to determine mechanical faults.
- To diagnose faults and repair/maintain a variety of cars within a variety of different brands.
- Completion of all associated paperwork
- Abide by customer Health & Safety rules when on site.
- Keep workshop and vehicle organized, clean and tidy and assist with general workshop duties as and when required.
- Complete vehicle safety inspections to the highest standard
- Confidence with working on all makes and models of vehicles and an ability to carry out various tasks efficiently to an excellent standard.
- Ability to diagnose faults on many different types of vehicles.
- Able to work in a dynamic environment with compliance to Health & Safety at all times.
