We are seeking an energetic and dedicated 2nd Chef with a minimum of one year of experience in a similar role to join our dynamic culinary team. This pivotal position involves assisting in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes, supervising kitchen operations, and supporting the head chef in maintaining exceptional food standards. We have 4 restaurants within our group employing over 100+ people.
* Experience must have been in a busy restaurant environment
* You must have a passion for food & our industry
* Work well in a team & be able to communicate clearly
Excellent salary depending on experience/position
Weekly pay, hourly rate so every hour paid
4 days on, 3 off (or part time hours)

Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation and cooking to ensure consistent quality and presentation
- Support the head chef in managing daily kitchen operations and workflow
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and ensuring adherence to food safety standards
- Oversee food production processes, ensuring timely delivery of dishes during service hours
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with health regulations
- Contribute to menu planning, ingredient sourcing, and inventory management
- Serve as a role model for team management, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
Requirements
- Minimum of one year of experience as a 2nd Chef or in a similar culinary role within hospitality or restaurant settings
- Proven skills in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices
- Experience supervising or leading kitchen teams effectively
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food production techniques, and restaurant service standards
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and leadership qualities to motivate team members
- Relevant culinary certifications or training preferred but not mandatory
