Spencer Clarke Group is recruiting an experienced and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Blackpool. You will work closely with pupils who may have autism, ADHD, communication needs, social and emotional difficulties or challenging behaviour.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who can build trust, provide structure and help children feel safe, included and ready to learn.
In this role, you could be:

Supporting a pupil on a one-to-one basis
Delivering focused interventions to individuals and small groups
Helping children manage emotions and regulate their behaviour
Using visual timetables, sensory resources and communication tools
Supporting pupils during lessons, transitions and social times
Encouraging independence, confidence and positive relationships
Working alongside teachers, the SENCO and external professionals
Monitoring progress and adapting support to meet individual needs
We are looking for someone who is calm, reliable and confident when supporting children with additional needs.
Previous experience may have been gained through:

Primary or specialist school settings
Residential care or support work
Youth work or mentoring
Nursery or childcare environments
Behaviour support
Autism or SEND provision
Personal experience supporting a child with additional needs
A formal Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential where strong relevant experience can be demonstrated.
Daily pay of £105-£115

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
