Join our Children’s Rights and Participation Service and play a vital role in improving outcomes for children and young people. Working alongside experienced Children’s Rights and Participation Coordinators and Social Workers, you will help ensure that the voices of Children in Care and Care Leavers are heard, respected and embedded in decision-making processes.
This role offers the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with children, young people and their families, supporting them to engage with professionals and leadership to advocate for their needs. Using a trauma-informed approach, you will contribute to achieving positive, sustainable outcomes and plans of permanence, while helping to remove barriers to support. You will also work collaboratively with partner agencies, participate in meetings, and support children to influence service delivery, including involvement in Children in Care Council activity and staff recruitment processes.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about children’s rights, safeguarding and participation, with a commitment to inclusive, child-centred practice. You will be supported to develop your skills through supervision and training, while making a real difference by ensuring every child’s lived experience and voice is recognised, valued and shapes the services they receive.
The contractual work location for this role is The Portal, Ellesmere Port however you will be required to work across the borough, depending on the needs of the service. This is a hybrid role that includes both office and home working. As part of this role, you will need to be flexible in your working hours as the role includes evening meetings.
