Job Overview
Mitie has a great opportunity for two part-time Security Officers to join their Front of House Security Team at Springfields Fuels Ltd. These are permanent roles where you wil report into the Security Management Team on the contract. The hours for the roles will be weekday (Mon-Fri) 07:00hrs - 17:00hrs, you will work 2-days one week followed by 3-days the following week.
As a Security Officer in this role, you will be based on the Reception floor area, here you will be part of a team, working alongside and supporting two Security Receptionists. Within this role you will be the first point of contact at Westinghouse for all visitors, customers and stakeholders attending the Springfields site. The role will involve the welcoming of all personnel to Springfields, conducting searches of personal baggage/luggage and assisting in maintaing overall control of people and activity in the Reception area. Ensuring compliance with the Office for Nuclear Regulation is a key element of this role.
Objectives

To protect our customer's property, people and/or assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the sites published Assignment Instructions (AI's) and any subsequent changes.

Delivering results that meet and / or exceed the Key performance indicators / Service Level Agreement for the customer through full responsibility and accountability, providing a service that aids in the retention of the contract.
Main Duties
Operations
-
To work as part of a team in delivering a first-class service within the contract.

To support the Service Level Agreement, by ensuring that all site support activities are carried out effectively.

To ensure all customer requests are dealt with efficiently and effectively.
-
Support emergency evacuation procedures.
-
To support the review of procedures and processes.
-
To be aware of and ensure compliance with all aspects of policies and relevant legal and regulatory requirements as directed by the Security Manager and in accordance with UK Law and Guidance bodies.

Fully and satisfactorily complete all tasks relevant to your role and duties on site as defined within the published Assignment Instructions (AI's).

Proactively refer to and review the published Assignment Instructions, thus familiarising oneself with any changes in order to suggest additional amendments that will improve or enhance the current level of service.

To be compliant with Industry and Statutory Legislation (you are required to hold or obtain a front-line licence in either Security Guarding or Door Supervision), which must be worn at all times whilst carrying out your duties.

Training

Fully and satisfactorily complete all required competency training.

To undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development as directed by the Security Manager.

You are required to renew your SIA licence 16 weeks before expiry.

What we are looking for

Previous Security Experience

Ability to follow written and oral instructions accurately.

Hold a current SIA licence or be willing to obtain one.
