What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)
As a Front of House Team Member, you will be the face of Kaani Kaana. Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Guest Experience: Deliver world class customer service, engaging guests in friendly, professional conversation beyond just order taking.
- Sales & Growth: Confidently recommend and upsell dishes, sides, and drinks to enhance the guest experience. Proactively request customer reviews and engagement as directed.
- Fast Paced Communication: Respond to customer queries promptly—we pride ourselves on instant replies wherever possible.
- Operational Excellence: Maintain, clean, and organize all Front of House areas daily, ensuring all checklist tasks are completed. Assist with stock taking and control.
- Marketing & Admin: Support marketing campaigns, social media content creation (including participating in photos or videos), and general administrative tasks.
- Teamwork: Foster great communication between the Front of House and Kitchen teams.
Shift Patterns & Availability Requirements
This role primarily involves evening and weekend work in a busy environment. Punctuality is critical—arriving exactly at the start time is considered late; you must arrive before your shift begins.
- Weekdays: 4:30pm start time (Strict)
- Weekends: 4:00pm start time (Strict)
- Mandatory Days: Fridays and Saturdays are mandatory if you are scheduled. No days off are permitted on these days.
Requirements
To be part of our amazing team, you will need to:
- Have the right to work in the UK (appropriate documents will be required)
- Be 18 years or older
- Have strong interpersonal and exceptional communication skills
- Be punctual, reliable, professional, and proactive
- Have an eye for detail and a commitment to completing tasks to a high standard
- Be able to stand for extended periods and work effectively in a bustling environment
- Be flexible to occasionally support or cover other store locations or participate in local outreach (e.g., patch walking)
Uniform & Appearance Standards
Our team takes immense pride in representation. You must arrive in full, clean, and pressed uniform for every shift, with personal presentation (hair, nails, and hygiene) reflecting our high standards.
- Required Attire: Black smart trousers, black smart blazer, and black smart shoes.
