As a Customer Services Advisor, you'll be the first point of contact for many of our customers, providing advice, resolving enquiries and helping people access the services they need. You'll play a key role in creating a positive customer experience and ensuring enquiries are handled professionally, efficiently and accurately.
Previous customer service experience is essential, and experience or knowledge of the social housing sector is highly desirable.
About the role
Working as part of a busy and supportive team, you'll handle enquiries across a range of channels, including telephone, reception, webchat, social media and digital platforms. You'll work closely with colleagues across the organisation to ensure customers receive timely support and achieve the best possible outcome.

What you'll be doing
- Acting as a first point of contact for customers, handling enquiries by telephone, reception and digital channels.
- Providing accurate information, advice and signposting to relevant services and agencies.
- Working towards first‑time resolution wherever possible and following up on enquiries when required.
- Maintaining accurate customer records and updating systems appropriately.
- Supporting reception services, customer payments and general administrative tasks as required.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across WCHG to deliver an excellent customer experience.
What we're looking for
- Previous customer service experience is essential.
- Experience or knowledge of the social housing sector is highly desirable.
- A confident and professional telephone manner.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed when dealing with challenging situations.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Confidence learning and using a variety of IT systems and processes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A genuine commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
