Job Summary
The purpose of this role is to provide accurate stock and quality control oversight to ensure inventory integrity, system accuracy and efficient warehouse operations. Maintain real-time inventory visibility, manage documentation and reporting and work collaboratively to resolve issues quickly. Uphold high quality standards through inspections, audits, and proactive problem-solving to consistently meet customer expectations and SLAs. This role will be based at GXO four day a week.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate warehouse records and ensure real-time updates within the Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Manage stock integrity by regularly reconciling physical inventory against system data, investigating discrepancies and driving resolution
- Process inbound and outbound documentation including delivery notes, ASN data, purchase orders, and shipping paperwork in line with GXO and Holland Cooper SLAs
- Coordinate with inbound, outbound, and inventory teams to ensure smooth stock flow through the warehouse
- Generate and analyse operational reports (e.g. stock accuracy, dispatch performance, returns data) to support management decision-making
- Monitor and manage inventory issues, escalating risks such as shortages, delays, or system errors
- Support demand forecasting activities by providing accurate stock data and trend insights where required
- Act as a key administrative contact for internal queries and external stakeholders (e.g. Holland Cooper
- Perform detailed inspections of inbound and outbound goods
- Identify, record, and investigate damaged, defective, or incorrect items
- Support root cause analysis for recurring quality or stock issues
- Conduct regular warehouse audits (location accuracy, stock condition, process compliance)
- Ensure adherence to GXO operational procedures, health & safety standards, and client-specific requirements
- Support returns processing, including inspection, grading, and system updates in line with agreed procedures
- Work closely with warehouse operatives and team leaders to resolve quality and process issues quickly to avoid impact on customer orders

Skills/Experience Required

- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS)
Desired:
- Previous experience with Bright Pearl and/or People Vox systems
- Previous warehouse process experience, either in normal operations or management
- Experience within continuous improvement concepts and application
Pay: £30,000.00 per year
