Job Purpose
We are seeking a part time (3 days per week) proactive and highly organised Membership Engagement Officer to play a key role in strengthening relationships and engagement across our national membership network. This role is central to ensuring our activities align with the Association’s strategy while delivering meaningful support and value to Area Federations and Local Associations.
The successful candidate will act as a visible and committed representative of the Association, promoting its mission, values, and strategic direction across the United Kingdom. They will take ownership of engagement activity, supporting the Association’s Area and Local networks while identifying opportunities to enhance participation, communication and member experience.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure all workstreams are aligned with the Association’s strategy, mission, and values.
- Act as a visible and engaged presence across the UK, confidently representing the Association with members and stakeholders.
- Attend Area Federation and Local Association meetings when required to engage with members and promote key initiatives, including education programmes, events, and membership benefits.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with Area Federation leaders, Local Associations, and key stakeholders across the sector.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve member engagement and support across regions.
- Gather feedback and insight from members and local groups to inform future initiatives and services.
- Support the planning, organisation, and administration of meetings, education days, and other events.
- Co-ordinate event logistics, including arranging speakers, venues, and supporting materials.
- Assist with wider event administration and operational delivery across the organisation as required.
- Source and develop content, stories, and updates from across the membership for inclusion in the Association’s magazine and other communication channels.
- Monitor and report on engagement activity (e.g. attendance, feedback, outcomes) to support continuous improvement.
- Contribute to wider National Office operations and undertake any other duties that support the effective running of the Association.
Pay: £21,000.00 per year
