The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Multi-Trade Operative to join our team, working across customer sites throughout the South East.
This is a varied, mobile role suited to someone with strong carpentry and general building skills who is comfortable turning their hand to a range of maintenance, repair and project works.
No two days are necessarily the same. You could be completing planned repairs at one site, supporting a refurbishment project at another, or carrying out remedial works to get a customer’s property back to the standard it should be.
You’ll be trusted to represent Hi-Tech on site, communicate professionally with our customers and deliver work safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
What You'll Be Doing
- Carrying out a variety of multi-trade building, maintenance and repair works.
- Undertaking carpentry, general building and associated remedial works.
- Diagnosing faults and identifying practical repair solutions.
- Working across a variety of commercial customer premises.
- Communicating with customers while works are underway.
- Liaising with supervisors, estimators and other members of the project team.
- Providing accurate information on additional works and materials where required.
- Completing work safely, efficiently and with minimum disruption to the customer.
- Maintaining a clean, tidy and professional working environment.
- Supporting other trades and operatives when required.
- Following company Health & Safety procedures at all times.
What We're Looking For
You'll ideally have:
- Proven experience as a Multi-Trade Operative or in a similar construction or property maintenance role.
- Strong carpentry and general building experience.
- A broad practical skill set and the ability to tackle varied works.
- Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- A professional approach when working in customer-facing environments.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- The ability to manage your own workload while working as part of a wider team.
- A willingness to travel regularly between customer sites.
- A full UK driving licence.
CSCS card is preferred but not essential.
