Primary purpose of the role
The Operator is responsible for effectively operating the Bottling (semi-automatic and automatic) and Canning line processes, maintaining quality control processes, standards, health and safety procedures and contributing to ensuring production targets are met. To operate in a flexible team member and maintaining production area cleanliness.
Responsibilities
- To work flexibly as a team member to undertake basic duties and training on production lines as available to enable effective production in bottling and canning.
- To undertake online and on the job training to gain competence as required for role.
- The operation and the basic maintenance of bottling, packaging equipment including bottle filling, capping and labelling machines in a safe and efficient manner to produce quality products that meet customer specifications.
- To operate and the basic maintenance of the Canning and packing equipment in a safe and efficient manner to produce quality products that meet customer specifications.
- To contribute to ensuring that the production line is running at optimal capacity and that all products meet the required product safety and quality standards.
- The Operator should have the ability to troubleshoot basic machinery issues that may arise and can perform basic maintenance as detailed by their supervisor and engineer.
- To ensure production areas are maintained in a clean and hygienic condition and follow all health and safety procedures/processes.
Pay: £26,500.00 per year
