Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter and Decorator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming interiors and exteriors through expert painting and decorating techniques, contributing to the aesthetic and functional improvement of our clients’ properties. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your craftsmanship and communication skills while working on diverse projects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other decorative finishes with precision and care.
- Follow project specifications and safety guidelines to deliver high-quality results efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to understand project requirements and provide updates.
- Operate driving vehicles to transport equipment and materials safely between job sites.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste responsibly.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to complete projects on time and to client satisfaction.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction painting and decorating or related roles.
- Valid driving license.
- Strong communication skills in English to effectively liaise with team members and clients.
- Ability to work outdoors or indoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards.
- Good physical stamina for standing, climbing, lifting, and detailed work over extended periods.
- Knowledge of safety procedures relevant to painting, decorating, and construction environments.
