Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated 7.5 tonne (class C1) Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to perform heavy lifting, and experience in commercial driving. As a Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
Duties
- Operate vehicles, including vans and lorries, to deliver goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety compliance.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
Qualifications
- Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving is preferred.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or van driver is advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and customers effectively.
- Familiarity with local roads and routes is beneficial.
- A proactive approach to safety and compliance with health regulations.
