Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Breakfast Chef to join our culinary team at Montigo Resorts, Charlton House in Somerset. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of breakfast dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about food preparation and culinary arts to contribute to a welcoming dining environment. The Breakfast Chef will work closely with the kitchen team to deliver a memorable breakfast experience for our guests, maintaining safety and hygiene standards at all times.
Duties
- Prepare and cook breakfast dishes according to recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in menu planning and ingredient selection for breakfast offerings
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Manage food stock levels, organise storage, and minimise waste
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment and work surfaces
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to guarantee optimal quality of all dishes served
- Assist in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety procedures
- Ensure adherence to health and safety policies at all times
Experience
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a chef within a restaurant or hospitality environment
- Knowledge of kitchen operations, including meal preparation, food safety, and hygiene standards
- Experience working with breakfast menus or in a fast-paced kitchen setting is desirable
- Familiarity with culinary techniques, food presentation, and serving practices
- Previous experience in restaurant or catering services will be considered an advantage
