Job Title: Health Care Assistant Hospice at Home

Hours: Bank 10pm-7am

Based: Michael Sobell Hospice, Northwood, HA6 2RN

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) to join our Hospice at Home Team, supporting patients with life-limiting illnesses to remain comfortable and dignified in their own homes.
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will work alongside our multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality personal and supportive care to patients and their families. You will help individuals maintain comfort, independence and quality of life during their palliative and end-of-life care journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver personal care with dignity, compassion, and respect.
- Support patients in their own homes overnight
- Monitor and report changes in patients' condition.
- Provide emotional support to patients and families.
- Maintain accurate documentation and communication with the wider care team.
- Always promote patient comfort and wellbeing.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in health, social care, community care, or palliative care settings.
- A caring, empathetic, and professional approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (desirable, depending on service area).
