Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be working towards an ACA or ACCA qualification and have at least two years of experience in an accountancy practice.
Duties
- Preparing year-end accounts (FRS 102 & FRS 105) for a range of entities
- Preparing bookkeeping and producing management accounts
- Preparing and filing VAT returns for your own portfolio
- Effectively manage time to ensure that jobs are finished within budget and deadlines are met.
- Assisting with monthly client payrolls, including RTI and auto-enrolment
- Helping clients use MTD-compliant software and cloud platforms
- Assisting with onboarding new clients and maintaining accurate records
- Liaise with clients to request records, resolve queries, and provide day-to-day support
- Supporting the preparation of personal and corporate tax returns
- Keeping up to date with current tax and accounting standards
- Managing client communications and maintaining excellent relationships
- Researching IT software, accounting and tax issues as needed
- Support senior team members with ad hoc accounting and reporting tasks
Experience
- Studying towards ACA or ACCA qualification or AAT Qualified
- Minimum of two years of practice experience.
- Strong technical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proactive and self-motivated with a problem-solving mindset.
- Confident in meeting and speaking with clients.

Pay: £28,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
