Dental Courier
Location: Exeter
Hours: 40 hours per week
Holiday Entitlement: 20 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays
Reports To: Laboratory Manager
Job Summary
The Dental Courier is responsible for the safe, timely, and professional collection and delivery of dental appliances, impressions, models, and related materials between dental practices and the dental laboratory. The role is essential in maintaining excellent customer service and ensuring all items are transported securely and confidentially.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and deliver dental work, impressions, models, appliances, and associated documentation to and from dental practices.
- Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed accurately and within agreed timescales.
- Maintain a courteous and professional relationship with clients and colleagues.
- Keep accurate records of collections, deliveries, and client communications.
- Handle all dental items with care to prevent damage or loss.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding patient information and comply with GDPR requirements.
- Perform routine vehicle checks and ensure the vehicle is maintained in a clean, safe, and roadworthy condition.
- Report any vehicle defects, accidents, delays, or incidents promptly to management.
- Assist with packaging and preparing cases for dispatch when required.
- Support laboratory staff with general duties during quieter periods, as directed by management.
- Adhere to all company policies, health and safety regulations, and driving legislation.
Skills and ExperienceEssential
- Full UK driving licence with a clean or acceptable driving record.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage daily routes efficiently.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional appearance.
Desirable
- Previous courier, delivery, or healthcare transport experience.
- Knowledge of the local area and route planning.
- Experience working within a dental or healthcare environment.

Working Hours and Benefits
