Job Overview
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating a tipper lorry to deliver goods across various locations. This role requires a strong focus on safety, punctuality, and excellent driving skills. The successful applicant will play a vital part in ensuring timely and secure deliveries, contributing to the smooth operation of our family business which has been operating for 50+ years.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class 2 HGV lorry, primarily tipper either 6 wheel or 8 wheel, collecting and delivering Aggregates.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any defects or issues promptly.
- Assist with loading and unloading goods at various delivery points, maintaining high standards of health and safety.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with the reporting manager.
- Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and well-maintained throughout daily operations.
- On occasion you may be required to work within the company Quarry.
Experience
- Proven experience as a HGV driver.
- A clean, valid UK HGV Class 2 licence along with a CPC card.
- Knowledge of road regulations and safety standards applicable to large goods vehicles.

Pay: From £37,500.00 per year
