Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable General Labourer to join our team. This role involves hands-on work across various construction, gardening, and maintenance projects, primarily focused on landscape maintenance and site preparation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, practical skills, and a willingness to learn new techniques. This position offers valuable experience in horticulture, construction, and equipment operation within a dynamic environment.
Duties
- Assisting with landscape maintenance tasks such as planting, pruning, mowing, and general gardening duties
- Operating hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for various tasks
- Using mechanical knowledge to maintain and troubleshoot equipment including excavators and irrigation systems
- Supporting construction activities by preparing sites, digging trenches, and moving materials
- Assisting with the installation and upkeep of irrigation systems
- Conducting routine maintenance on tools and machinery to ensure optimal performance
- Assisting with site clean-up and organisation at the end of each day
- Supporting team members with additional labouring tasks as required to meet project deadlines
Experience
- Previous experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, or construction is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for specific equipment operation
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic maintenance procedures is advantageous
- Mechanical knowledge related to excavators or other heavy machinery is a plus
- Experience working with irrigation systems or horticultural practices will be considered an asset
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks
- A proactive attitude with good organisational skills and the ability to follow safety protocols diligently

Pay: £12.21-£15.00 per hour
