The post holder will be responsible for supporting the Head of Legal in delivering the Legal and Compliance Strategy by providing efficient contract management, legal and compliance, and corporate governance support across the organisation.
Responsibilities
Commercial & Contracting
- Draft, review and maintain standard T&Cs and templates
- Contract administration and contract management system support
- Support business teams in understanding contractual commitments and risks
- Support negotiations under Head of Legal oversight
Compliance and Risk
- Maintain a Legal and Compliance Risk Register
- Support AML, ABC, GDPR, export control and sanctions and modern slavery compliance activities
- Assist with supplier and customer due diligence including setting up of third party screening tool
- Policy maintenance and training
Reporting & Governance
- Assist with corporate governance tasks, including Co Sec activities and filings
- Support with internal approval processes and delegations of authority.
- Assist with Legal and Compliance reports for the board and/or shareholders where required
Other
- Assist on ad hoc matters including property, dispute resolution and intellectual property.

Requirements
Essential
- Degree in Law or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Previous experience in a paralegal or legal support role
- Strong understanding of commercial contracts and legal processes
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (e.g. GDPR, AML, ABC)
- Excellent drafting, organisational, and communication skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Commercial awareness
- High level of integrity and professionalism
- Ability to manage confidential information appropriately
Desirable
- Experience in an in-house legal environment (preferably with exposure to aerospace and/or manufacturing sectors).
- Exposure to contract management systems
- Familiarity with compliance tools and due diligence systems
- Understanding of corporate governance and Company Secretariat practices
