Brighter Places is seeking an exceptional new Chair to lead the governance and strategic direction of the organisation at a pivotal moment in delivering the next phase of our corporate strategy, Brighter Places 2030.
This is a fantastic opportunity to lead Bristol’s largest independent housing association at a vital point in our development and improvement journey, as we continue to deliver our Corporate Strategy Brighter Places 2030 and strengthen outcomes for our customers, communities and colleagues.

You will be able to absorb complex information, identify key issues, balance support and challenge, and build trusted relationships with the Chief Executive, Board members, Committee Chairs, regulators, lenders, partners and colleagues.
We welcome applications from people who share our purpose and values: we are human, we speak truth, we bring it, and we belong. Experience of social housing would be valuable, but we are also interested in people who bring strong leadership, governance, assurance, strategic and customer-focused experience from other regulated or purpose-led sectors.
If you are passionate about good governance, safe and quality homes, customer outcomes and making a positive difference for communities, we would love to hear from you.
