Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children in a nursery setting. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to manage a diverse group of children, and a commitment to fostering a safe and nurturing environment for their development.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care and education for children in the nursery.
- Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a supportive environment.
- Manage daily routines, including meal times, playtime, and rest periods.
- Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records of their development.
- Foster positive relationships with children to encourage their emotional well-being.
- Uphold health and safety standards within the nursery at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to create a cohesive learning environment.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
- Qualified to Level 2/3 in Early Years.
- Food Hygiene, First Aid, Safeguarding training is an advantage.
- Strong leadership skills to guide and support both children and staff.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to drive initiatives that enhance children's learning experiences.
- A genuine passion for childcare and commitment to children's development.
- Knowledge of child safeguarding practices is desirable.
- New Vision Day Nursery has a commitment to Safeguarding children. We will require 2 references, and a enhanced DBS check.
