Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Static Caravan Repairer and Yard Manager to oversee the maintenance, repair, and management of static caravans within our outdoor yard. This dynamic role combines hands-on repair work with operational leadership, ensuring that all caravans are maintained to the highest standards and the yard operates smoothly. The ideal candidate will possess strong multi-skill knowledge, excellent organisational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Responsibilities
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on static caravans, including fixing structural issues, plumbing, electrical systems, and cosmetic repairs using hand tools and power tools.
- Inspect caravans thoroughly to identify damage or wear that requires attention or refurbishment.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the yard, including organising caravan storage, overseeing movement of units, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Supervise yard staff, assign tasks efficiently, and ensure all work is completed safely and to high-quality standards.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed, parts used, and inspections carried out for compliance and quality assurance purposes.
- Coordinate with suppliers for parts and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
Experience
- Proven experience in multi-trade repair work, preferably within caravan or similar mobile home environments.
- Strong knowledge of hand tools and power tools used in vehicle or structural repairs.
- Previous experience managing a yard or outdoor storage area is advantageous.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
