We are currently seeking Support Workers to join our warm and nurturing children’s home, providing high-quality care and support for children aged 7–17 with emotional and behavioural needs.
About the Role
As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day care of our young people. You will help create a safe, structured, and caring environment where children can feel secure, respected, and valued.
Key Responsibilities:
- Building positive, trusting relationships with children and young people
- Supporting children with their personal care, daily routines, and emotional wellbeing
- Promoting positive behaviour and responding to challenging situations with empathy and professionalism
- Encouraging participation in education, activities, and community life
- Keeping accurate records and contributing to care plans and key worker reports
- Working collaboratively with other professionals to support the child’s overall development
About You
We’re looking for individuals who are:
- Compassionate, resilient, and reliable
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Able to build strong professional relationships and act as a positive role model
- Good communicators with strong written and verbal skills
- Flexible and willing to work shifts, including evenings and weekends
Essential:
- A commitment to ongoing training and development
- Experience working in care
- Experience working with children
- The right to work in the UK
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check and provide references
Desirable:
- Previous experience in a residential childcare or support role
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it)
