Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Stores Operative and become a vital part of our warehouse operations! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for the control, storage and safe movement of all materials within Stores whilst taking responsibility for ensuring the workplace environment is maintained in a clean and safe manner.
Duties
- Responsible for all elements of goods in / out procedures including monitoring supplier quality, booking items of stock, adding goods to stores and prepare finished products
- Support kitting operations for our assembly cells, ensuring correct parts, quantities and revision control
- Support the efficient running of the department to meet customer requirements
- Maintain good working practices and housekeeping
- Perform accurate stock counting, batch segregation and inventory cycle checks
- Report any non conforming products to the Production Lead
- Assist with materials handling tasks including heavy lifting, load securing, and transportation within the warehouse
Skills
- Proven experience working in a warehouse environment with familiarity in stock management and materials handling
- Valid Reach and Counterbalance forklift certification with the ability to operate forklifts safely in a warehouse setting
- Understand stock control and inventory management principles
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate stock control and order fulfilment
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to quality, safety and continuous improvement
Pay: £12.71 per hour
