ichiban UK is a privately owned sushi manufacturer producing premium own-label and branded products for the UK market. We are hiring Food Production Operatives at our site in Earl Stonham, near Stowmarket, Bury St Edmunds and Ipswich.
Main Responsibilities:
As a Production Operative, you will play an important role within our busy chilled production environment, handling, preparing, and packing high-quality food products for leading retail customers while ensuring company standards and procedures are consistently followed.
Shifts:
Enjoy a great work-life balance with our rotating schedule — you’ll work 3 days one week and 4 days the next (just 7 out of every 14 days), always on the same set days each week! That means you’re only at work half the year, with a consistent routine that makes it easy to plan your life around work.
Shift are 4 on 3 off, 3 on 4 off pattern 06:00-18:00 or 18:00 - 06:00 working the following shift pattern's;
Days 1: Working every Thursday to Saturday and alternate Wednesday's from 06:00-18:00.
Days 2: Working every Sunday to Tuesday and alternate Wednesday's from 06:00-18:00.
Nights 1: Working every Wednesday to Friday and alternate Tuesday's from 18:00-06:00.
Nights 2: Working every Saturday to Monday and alternate Tuesday's from 18:00-06:00.
These roles also attract premium payments for weekend working and are zero hours contracts.
Transport: We have a bus service running from Ipswich to site for all shift patterns (£7.50 for a return ticket).
Pay Rate:
Days shift rate: £12.71 per hour. With the weekly attendance bonus included, the expected weekly earnings are £521.57 before tax.
Night shift rate: £13.61 per hour. With the night shift allowance included, the expected weekly earnings are £588.31 before tax.
