About the Role
Construo Recruitment is working in partnership with a leading construction and development business to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor with strong MEP / M&E experience. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a progressive organisation delivering complex, high-value projects across the UK.
You will take ownership of the commercial management of mechanical and electrical packages, ensuring cost control, value engineering, and successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the commercial management of MEP / M&E packages from pre-construction through to final account
Prepare and manage cost plans, budgets, and forecasts specific to building services works
Procure and manage M&E subcontractors
Assess and value variations, claims, and interim applications
Provide accurate and timely commercial reporting
Identify and mitigate commercial risks within MEP packages
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and design teams
Support and mentor junior commercial staff where required
Requirements
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a strong focus on MEP / M&E works
Background in construction, building services, or engineering projects
Strong knowledge of contract forms such as JCT and NEC
Experience managing subcontractor packages and complex services installations
Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Relevant degree or equivalent qualification
