Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated labourer to join our small joinery manufacturing workshop. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing a variety of wooden and other materials to support diverse building projects. Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble bespoke joinery components using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment.
- Install wooden structures, fittings, and fixtures on-site in accordance with technical drawings and specifications.
- Perform precise carpentry and joinery work, ensuring durability and aesthetic quality.
- Assist with roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical work, and construction painting as required on various projects.
- Handle heavy lifting safely while maintaining strict adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Read technical drawings and blueprints to accurately execute design intentions.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are stored correctly after use.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, carpentry, or joinery is essential.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and specialised joinery equipment.
- Knowledge of roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical systems or construction painting is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Strong understanding of technical drawings and blueprints.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Relevant experience in construction or building trades is preferred.
- Physical fitness to work on-site in various weather conditions.
- A recognised qualification in carpentry or joinery will be considered an asset but is not mandatory.
