We’re now looking for a motivated Assistant / Shift Manager to help lead daily operations, drive consistency, and support the development of systems.
Role Overview
As an Assistant or Shift Manager, you’ll be responsible for running the shop floor during shifts, ensuring food quality, speed, and team performance all meet Imran’s standards.
You’ll work closely with senior management to implement SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), maintain kitchen efficiency, and support staff training — ensuring the operation runs like clockwork.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Excellence
- Lead and supervise daily operations — kitchen, counter, and delivery flow.
- Maintain speed, food quality, and hygiene standards during service.
- Ensure fryers, grills, and prep stations run efficiently with minimal waste.
- Work hands-on when needed (frying chicken, assembling orders, dispatching deliveries).
Team Leadership
- Motivate and manage team members to deliver consistent results.
- Train new staff on SOPs, portioning, and hygiene procedures.
- Support the Store Manager with rotas, shift planning, and onboarding.
Standards & Systems
- Complete daily checklists, temperature logs, and waste reports accurately.
- Track basic KPIs (sales, labour %, waste, ticket times) and report to management.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant kitchen in line with Food Safety and H&S standards.
Customer Experience
- Ensure every order is accurate, fast, and meets brand presentation standards.
- Handle customer feedback professionally, ensuring issues are resolved quickly.
- Promote upselling and menu awareness among team members.
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience in a fast-food, QSR, or casual dining environment (KFC, Popeyes, Dixy, etc. preferred).
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Hands-on approach — willing to jump on fryer, grill, or front counter when required.
High attention to detail with strong focus on cleanliness, speed, and food quality.
