Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Housekeeper to oversee the cleanliness and organisation of our facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a background in commercial cleaning or janitorial services. This role is vital in maintaining high standards of hygiene and presentation, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for staff and visitors alike. The Head Housekeeper will be responsible for managing cleaning staff, coordinating daily tasks, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the daily cleaning operations across all areas of the premises
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard
- Train and mentor cleaning staff, providing guidance on best practices and safety procedures
- Conduct regular inspections to monitor cleanliness levels and address any deficiencies promptly
- Manage stock levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary
- Liaise with management to plan deep-cleaning projects and special cleaning requirements
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the cleaning team
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, staff attendance, and inventory
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning, janitorial services or hospital environments
- Strong leadership and organisational skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Excellent attention to detail to uphold high standards of cleanliness
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning operations
