We are looking for a fun, caring, and reliable Personal Care Assistant to support a young boy during school holidays.
This role currently offers 3 hours per week, with the potential to increase to 6 hours if required.
The young boy is non-verbal and communicates using a VOCA (Voice Output Communication Aid), so patience and a willingness to understand and support his communication style are essential. He enjoys being out in the community, particularly going on bus trips and attending clubs such as Northburn Freestylers, Gymnastics, and the Alan Shearer Centre. He also enjoys activities like Airbox Bounce and swimming.
The role involves supporting with personal care, encouraging independence, and actively participating in activities. You will need to be physically able and happy to join in, making the most of each experience together.
We are looking for someone who is lively, engaging, and adaptable, with a positive attitude and a genuine interest in supporting young people.
Previous experience is desirable but not essential, as full guidance and support will be provided.
A driving licence would be beneficial but is not essential. There are no specific requirements regarding age or gender.
If you are enthusiastic, supportive, and ready to make a meaningful difference, we would love to hear from you.
