Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Renewable Electrician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical systems, mechanical knowledge, and experience working with renewable energy projects. Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems related to renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, or hydroelectric power.
- Operate various power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently during installation and maintenance tasks.
- Utilise welding techniques where necessary for structural or electrical component assembly.
- Use excavators and other heavy machinery for site preparation and installation activities.
- Conduct mechanical inspections and troubleshoot electrical faults to ensure optimal system performance.
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other tradespeople to complete projects on time and within scope.
- Document work performed accurately for compliance and future reference.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an electrician with a focus on renewable energy systems.
- Mechanical knowledge complemented by experience with excavators, welding, hand tools, and power tools.
- Strong electrical experience with the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Valid certification in electrical installation or related qualifications recognised within the UK.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift heavy equipment when necessary.
- Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail to ensure safety standards are maintained throughout all operations.
- Relevant licences or certifications for operating heavy machinery such as excavators are desirable but not essential. This role provides an excellent platform for electricians passionate about sustainable energy solutions to advance their careers while making a positive environmental impact.
Pay: £35,500.00-£45,000.00 per year
