JOB PURPOSE
The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for the management, support and continuous improvement of the organisation’s IT systems and applications. This role provides day-to-day IT support, oversees network and server infrastructure, manages business-critical applications, and plays a key role in enhancing internal systems, particularly the WINGS platform. The position also includes software development, IT training, and IT asset management responsibilities.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Systems and Application Management
· Act as the primary administrator and super user for the WINGS system.
· Enhance and maintain WINGS functionality, including the Customer Portal, CRM functions, shop floor implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
· Manage and support business applications, including PART IS and other operational systems.
· Oversee application management, upgrades, maintenance and integrations; including Microsoft 365, Centrik and WINGS.
IT Support and Operations
· Provide day-to-day IT support to users across the organisation.
· Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software and system issues.
· Ensure the availability, performance and reliability of IT systems.
· ITJC IT support line interfacing between ITJC MTX and Group IT.
Network and Server Management
· Manage and maintain network and server infrastructure.
· Monitor system performance, security and backups.
· Implement best practices for system security, data protection and resilience.
Software Development
· Design, develop and maintain software solutions to meet business requirements.
· Work with stakeholders to identify opportunities for system enhancements and automation.
Training and Documentation
· Deliver IT training to staff on systems, applications and best practices.
· Create and maintain system documentation, user guides and training materials.
· Manage and update ITJC website.
Asset and Systems Administration
· Develop, maintain and manage the IT Asset Register.
· Track IT hardware, software licences and system configurations.
· Manage IT Infrastructure; including PCs, Laptops and Phones
QUALIFICATIONS PREREQUISITES
· Strong knowledge of IT systems administration, networks and servers.
· Experience in application management and business systems.
· Software development and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to train and support users with varying levels of technical knowledge.
· Strong organisational and documentation skills.
· Proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement.
· Performing of any other duties within your capabilities as directed by the Company
