About SuStudio
SuStudio is a boutique fitness, wellbeing and lifestyle studio in Canford Cliffs, bringing together movement, wellness, community and our café kitchen under one roof.
We are looking for a friendly, proactive and highly organised Front of House & Studio Assistant to join our team and become an important part of the day-to-day running of the studio.
This is a varied and hands-on role. You will be the face of SuStudio, welcoming members, clients, teachers and guests, while also supporting the wider team across administration, bookings, the café and general studio operations.
The Role
No two days will necessarily be the same. You'll be working across different areas of the business and will need to be someone who is happy to roll up their sleeves, get stuck in and take ownership.
Your responsibilities will include:
Front of House & Customer Experience
- Being the friendly and welcoming face of SuStudio
- Greeting members, clients and visitors and creating a warm, positive experience
- Answering enquiries in person, by phone, email and online
- Building strong relationships with our members and wider community
- Handling day-to-day questions, requests and issues confidently
- Maintaining a professional, welcoming and organised studio environment
Bookings, Calendars & Administration
- Managing class bookings and cancellations using our booking system
- Managing calendars, schedules and appointments
- Supporting instructors and therapists with scheduling
- Assisting with membership and client administration
- Responding to emails and general enquiries
- Keeping records and information accurate and up to date
- Supporting the wider team with general office and administrative tasks
Café & Kitchen
- Supporting day-to-day café operations
- Preparing and serving coffees, drinks and simple food
- Taking orders and processing payments
- Maintaining a clean, tidy and inviting café area
- Supporting stock management and general café duties
Studio Operations
- Supporting the smooth running of classes, treatments, workshops and events
- Assisting different departments wherever needed
- Helping with event set-up and pack-down
- Monitoring stock and supplies
- Identifying issues before they become problems and finding practical solutions
- Supporting the management team with projects and day-to-day operations
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who is personable, capable and proactive, with a genuine interest in working within a busy lifestyle, fitness and wellbeing environment.
Ideally, you will have:
- 1+ years' experience in a front of house, reception, administration, hospitality or similar role
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Experience using booking systems
- Confidence managing calendars, schedules and appointments
- Strong IT and computer skills
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office / Google Workspace
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- The ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
- A proactive approach to work and problem solving
- The confidence to use initiative and make decisions
- The ability to take ownership and see tasks through to completion
- A flexible attitude and willingness to help across different areas of the business
- A warm, friendly and professional manner
HR, recruitment or general people-management experience would be an advantage, as there may be opportunities to support with onboarding, team administration and other HR-related tasks.
The SuStudio Person
Most importantly, we're looking for the right personality.
You will be someone who naturally makes people feel welcome, enjoys being around people and takes pride in creating a great experience.
You won't be someone who waits to be told what to do. You'll notice when something needs doing, work out how to fix it and get on with it.
You're organised but adaptable, confident but approachable, and comfortable moving between front of house, admin, café, events and general studio operations throughout the day.
If you're someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a busy environment and wants to be genuinely involved in a growing business, we'd love to hear from you.
