The Role
As Head Chef, you will take full ownership of the kitchen, leading a small, dedicated team and shaping our menu. This is a daytime-focused role, ideal for someone who enjoys a great work-life balance while maintaining creativity and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing and developing fresh, seasonal breakfast, brunch, and lunch menus
- Preparing and presenting high-quality dishes using fresh ingredients
- Leading, training, and motivating the kitchen team
- Managing food ordering, stock control, and supplier relationships
- Maintaining food hygiene and health & safety standards
- Controlling kitchen costs and minimising waste
- Ensuring consistency, quality, and excellent service during busy periods
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a similar fresh-food environment
- Strong knowledge of breakfast, brunch, and daytime dining
- Passion for seasonal, locally sourced ingredients
- Leadership skills and the ability to build a positive team culture
- Excellent organisation and time management
- A hands-on, calm approach in a fast-paced kitchen
