Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dental Nurse with Reception experience to join our professional dental team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care and nursing, with excellent organisational and communication skills. This role offers an opportunity to work within a supportive environment, providing high-quality dental care to our patients. The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting dentists during procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining clinical standards and ideally cover reception one day per week.
Duties
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring smooth clinical operations
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilise instruments in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Provide excellent patient care, including explaining procedures and addressing patient concerns
- Manage patient records accurately using IT systems and ensure confidentiality at all times
- Support with administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling and maintaining stock levels
- Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the clinical environment
- Adhere to infection control protocols and health & safety guidelines at all times
- Support patients through their treatment journey, offering reassurance and clear communication
- Cover on Reception as required
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dental Nurse or similar role within a dental practice
- Strong patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English
- Nursing qualification recognised within the UK healthcare system
- Good IT skills for managing electronic patient records and scheduling systems
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with patients and team members
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of current infection control standards and health & safety regulations
