We are seeking a friendly, committed and enthusiastic GP to join our practice for maternity cover from September 2026.
This is a part-time position for 4 sessions per week, offering an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive and collaborative clinical team, with the potential for a long-term salaried role.

Candidate requirements
- GMC registered GP with licence to practise
- Inclusion on the NHS Performers List

We are a progressive thinking training practice with a great team ethos and a committed and supportive Primary Health Care Team, based in a purpose-built, recently expanded premises.
We currently have almost 12,700 patients registered and operate a personalised list system, with continuity of care being a key focus. We are part of a successful Primary Care Network (Brackley and Towcester PCN) and have been fortunate enough to welcome first contact physios, clinical pharmacists, health coaches, social prescribers and mental health workers to our growing team.
Brackley is a lovely rural market town- home to AMG Petronas, 7 miles from Silverstone- the homes of the British Grand Prix and with easy access to Oxford and Milton Keynes. Excellent road links to the M1 and M40 and east access to London by train from Milton Keynes, Oxford, Banbury or Bicester.

Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- Proven experience in patient care within a clinical setting.
- Familiarity with home care practices and public health principles.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to patient treatment.
- Experience in medication administration and understanding of pharmacology.
- Background in nursing home or senior care environments is advantageous.
- Exposure to clinical research methodologies is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with medical advancements.
