HAIR STYLIST REQUIRED

Aquarius Hair Design, established May 2017, is a busy, five chair salon with a relaxed atmosphere and an extensive, varied clientele
Located in Fowlmere (between Cambridge & Royston) with lots of free parking
Products and tints by Muk - award winning Australian haircare brand
We are currently looking to add to our friendly, approachable, passionate and creative team
Flexible working days/hours could work well alongside childcare or other commitments
Ideally to cover an evening in the week and at least 2 Saturdays per month
Clientele waiting for the right stylist
Employed and self-employed, rent a chair position to be considered for the right applicant/s
You should have:
- At least NVQ level 2 or equivalent in hairdressing
- Salon experience of at least two years
- Great customer service skills and the ability to listen
- A love for all aspects of hairdressing including cutting, colouring and styling
- Confidence with retailing, training and be willing to lead from the front as well as work as a team member
You will be expected to:
- Confidently run a busy column, promoting yourself and hitting rebooking targets as required
- Have exceptional customer service skills
- Work as part of a team, helping out others and taking part in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the salon
- Be personal and presentable at all times
- Educate clients on what take-home hair care would best suit their needs, hopefully resulting in retail sales
- Be enthusiastic and have a desire to continuously learn
- Help other team members develop their skills
- Confidently use the online booking system
- Assist with promoting services by having conversations in the salon and by using social media
- Competently follow all health and safety regulations
