We are the UK's leading manufacturer of Expanded Polystyrene (EPS), operating from a purpose built factory in Bradford, West Yorkshire. With over 30 years experience of supplying EPS for packaging, insulation and construction applications, we pride ourselves on the quality of our products and services provided to our customers.
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team on 37.5 hours each week working as a Temporary General Operative . The ideal candidate will be a team player and must possess previous skills as a machine operative, ideally from a manufacturing background but not essential.
Please note that the shift patterns may vary from 6am until 10pm so flexibility is essential.
Rate of pay is £12.75 per hour
Duties will include
- Operating machinery and assist in the production of our products
- General duties as directed by the line manager and supervisor
- To comply with the company health and safety rules
- Removal of waste
- To participate with the quality and environmental practices in the workplace
- Where required ensuring all products are packed efficiently, correctly labelled in accordance with the packing specification
- Report any Out of Spec Products/Machinery issues/Non-Conformances/ to the Supervisor promptly
- Keeping machines supplied with material, maintaining and meeting minimum target requirements
- Keeping machinery & production running by conducting regular quality checks
- Reporting machinery faults to Supervisors and/or maintenance staff
- Keeping the machines and work area clean and tidy during the shift
- Checking products for quality on the production line
Minimum requirements
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment as a general operative or a production operative is essential
- Self-motivated
- Ability to work within a team
- Ability to work in an environment with constantly changing priorities
