We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Fibre Splicing Engineer to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Perform precise fibre splicing using specialized equipment to connect fibre optic cables efficiently and accurately
- Conduct routine inspections and testing of fibre networks to identify faults or performance issues
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised splicing equipment to prepare and join fibre cables in various environments
- Maintain detailed records of splicing activities, network configurations, and test results for quality assurance
Requirements
- Proven experience with fibre splicing techniques and equipment in a telecommunications or network environment
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and other mechanical devices essential for installation and repair tasks
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and network diagrams accurately
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to maintenance and repairs
- Experience working on legacy networks.
- Experience using Exfo OTDR.
Pay: £25,420.00-£60,000.00 per year
