General Manager – South Western Hotel
Location: Tisbury, Wiltshire
Salary: £38,000–£42,000 per year, depending on experience + TRONC
Hours: 45 hours per week

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated General Manager to join the team at the South Western Hotel in Tisbury.
The South Western is a hotel, pub and restaurant, and this is a hands-on senior role responsible for the smooth running of the business and delivering an excellent experience for our guests and customers.
You will work closely with the Owner, Executive Chef and Head Chef, leading the team and helping drive the continued development of the business. You will also have the opportunity to be involved in the development of a new business venture.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the hotel, pub and restaurant.
- Manage hotel bookings and guest relationships.
- Ensure consistently high standards of service and hospitality.
- Lead, manage and develop the team, including rotas and staffing.
- Work closely with the Executive Chef and Head Chef to ensure smooth kitchen and front-of-house operations.
- Manage customer feedback and resolve issues professionally.
- Help maximise sales, occupancy and profitability.
- Work closely with the Owner on the development and growth of the business.
- Play an active role in developing the new business venture.
About You

- Hands-on and comfortable working in a busy environment.
- A strong communicator who can work effectively with the Owner, Executive Chef and Head Chef.
- Proactive, reliable and keen to help develop the business.
