Vacancy: We are looking to looking to recruit a Truck & Kitting Warehouse Operative to work in our busy warehouse in Fishponds, Bristol (BS16).
Hours and salary: Monday to Friday, 7.30am 4pm, 40 hours per week, between £13.45ph - £14.00ph.
Job description: The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate picking, kitting, and issuing of materials and components required for commercial vehicle and truck body conversion projects.
The role ensures that production teams receive the correct parts in a timely manner to support efficient build schedules, minimise downtime, and maintain high-quality standards.
Duties:

Accurately pick and kit materials, parts, and components in line with kitting Lists and production schedules.

Prepare and stage kits for truck body conversions on commercial vehicles.

Ensure all materials issued match job specifications and quantities.

Maintain accurate stock records using the companys inventory management system.

Conduct regular stock checks and assist with cycle counts and annual stock takes.

Report shortages, damaged goods, or discrepancies promptly to supervision.

Maintain an organised, clean, and safe stores environment.

Ensure materials are handled and stored in accordance with health and safety requirements.

Support continuous improvement initiatives within stores and production operations.

Assist with loading/unloading deliveries where required.
Knowledge, skills and experience:
Essential:
- Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, or materials handling role.
- Experience picking and kitting parts for manufacturing or engineering environments.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists, bills of materials, and job sheets.
- Good numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Basic IT skills for stock control systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
Desirable:
- Forklift licence (Counterbalance/Reach).
- Experience within commercial vehicle, automotive, or engineering sectors.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
