Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Bench Joiner to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting, assembling, and finishing high-quality wooden components and furniture pieces. Responsibilities
- Fabricate custom wood components and joinery pieces according to detailed specifications and drawings
- Assemble furniture, cabinetry, and structural elements using hand tools, power tools, and joinery techniques
- Operate a variety of woodworking machinery safely and efficiently to ensure high-quality finishes
- Measure, cut, shape, and finish materials with precision to meet project requirements
- Collaborate with project managers and other trades to ensure timely completion of tasks
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards at all times
- Assist with installation tasks such as roofing, construction painting, plumbing, masonry, or electrical work when needed
Skills
- Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, carpentry, or joinery within a construction or manufacturing setting
- Proficiency with hand tools such as chisels, saws, hammers, screwdrivers, and measuring devices
- Skilled in operating power tools including drills, sanders, routers, and saws safely
- Strong knowledge of construction techniques like roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical systems or related trades is advantageous
- Ability to lift heavy materials repeatedly while maintaining proper safety protocols
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
