Band 8a Rheumatology Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) – NHS Agency Contract

Pay Rate: 55 PPH on Umbrella
Contract: Until end of October with high chances of extension

Hours: Up to 37.5 hours per week
Cromwell Medical Staffing is currently recruiting an experienced Band 8a Rheumatology Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to join a busy NHS Rheumatology service on a temporary contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently assess, diagnose and manage patients with rheumatological conditions.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment and management plans.
- Request, interpret and act upon diagnostic investigations.
- Prescribe medications safely and appropriately within scope of practice.
- Perform clinical procedures including venepuncture.
- Provide patient education and support regarding long-term condition management.
- Work collaboratively with consultants, specialist nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team.
Essential Requirements
- Registered healthcare professional with current UK registration (NMC or HCPC, as appropriate).
- Significant experience working independently as a Rheumatology Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) or Rheumatology Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS).
- Non-Medical Prescribing Qualification (Essential).
- Competent in Venepuncture.
- Confident using electronic patient record systems and digital healthcare platforms.
