Job Overview
We are looking for a friendly, experienced barista-trained waitstaff to join our family-run cafe and gift shop team in East Bergholt!
Oranges & Lemons is a family-run business in the heart of Constable Country, servicing hundreds of people a week, serving breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, cakes, coffees and more! Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Make and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, ensuring consistent high quality
- Welcome and seat customers, take telephone bookings and handle other enquiries from customers both face-to-face and over the phone
- Take orders, clear tables, and plate up cakes from our cake cabinet throughout shifts, ensuring a friendly and professional attitude at all times
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure a smooth service throughout shifts
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to uphold food safety standards
- Support team members during busy periods to deliver excellent customer service
- Set up before service begins and clean down after service finishes
We are looking for someone who has:
- Previous barista experience or working in a cafe environment
- Experience in serving customers with professionalism and courtesy
- Good time management skills
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn new skills and an ability to adapt
- Positive, friendly attitude
- Strong listening and collaboration skills
