ABOUT HIGHWAY HEALTH
Highway Health is a private healthcare clinic offering diagnostics, blood testing, private GP appointments and ultrasound services. Our Ballymena clinic is based at 89 Broughshane Street, Ballymena & Londonderry part of a growing multi-site group across Northern Ireland. We are looking for an experienced, patient-focused GP to join our clinical team and help deliver a high standard of private primary care to our patients.
ROLE PURPOSE
To provide private GP consultations at our Ballymena clinic, delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centred care, and working alongside our on-site diagnostics and ultrasound services to give patients a joined-up, efficient private healthcare experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver private GP consultations to patients attending the clinic, covering general health concerns, health checks and follow-up appointments.
- Order, review and interpret blood tests and other diagnostic results, explaining findings clearly to patients.
- Refer patients appropriately for further investigation, imaging/ultrasound, or specialist input, both within the clinic and externally.
- Maintain accurate, timely and confidential clinical records in line with GMC standards.
- Work collaboratively with reception and clinic administration staff to ensure smooth scheduling, follow-up and patient communication.
- Uphold the clinic's standards for patient experience, professionalism and clinical governance at all times.
- Maintain own indemnity cover requirements in line with GMC obligations.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Full GMC registration with a current licence to practise.
- Current, appropriate medical indemnity insurance (or ability to arrange this).
- Strong clinical judgement and up-to-date knowledge of general practice.
- Excellent communication skills and a genuinely patient-focused manner.
- Ability to work flexibly and manage a private-clinic consultation pace.
DESIRABLE
- Previous experience working in a private practice or independent sector setting.
- A special interest in an area such as women's health, men's health or occupational health.
- Comfort working alongside diagnostic imaging and ultrasound colleagues as part of a multidisciplinary clinic.

Pay: £90.00-£100.00 per hour
